Bafna Pharma receives approval from Ghana for Omeran-20

Chennai, May 3, 2013: Bafna Pharmaceuticals has secured an approval from Ghana for the Omeran-20 capsules used for the treatment of reflux oesophagitis among others. The company said that the drug contains generic salt- Omeprazole and its international classification of diseases is Omeprazole.
With this approval, the company has15 formulation approvals from the Ghana Food and Drug Administration, the company said in a BSE filing.
The approval is considered to be a major milestone for the company and it is expected that it will result in strengthening its presence in Ghana. At the same time, it can be expected that the company will now be able to penetrate the target segment in the desired manner.
