Lepra India, WODC set up a JV for eye hospital
The new hospital at Junagarh in Odisha's Kalahandi district would be a JV with WODC and Lepra India.
New Delhi, July 23, 2013: Western Orisha Deveopment Council (WODC) and Lepra India are setting up a new eye hospital in Junagarh in Odisha's Kalahandi district. The foundation stone of the eye hospital was laid at Junagarh by the WODC Chairperson Padmini Sekhar Deo in presence of district collector Bijay Ketan Upadhyay and member of Lepra India Prof Radhamohan.
As per the terms of the JV, Lepra India is expected to bear 80 per cent of the project while WODC would contribute 20 per cent.
While the proposed hospital would take about a year for completion, it would start functioning from tomorrow in the existing building of Lepra India with eye testing and treatment of the patients.
