Nigeria exhibition to attract participation from over 60 companies
The exhibition aims to showcase the latest range of India’s pharma products.
New Delhi, March 5, 2013: A record 62 Indian companies will be participating in a major pharmaceutical exhibition scheduled to start in the economic capital of Nigeria in Lagos on Thursday.
"A record number of 62 Indian companies are to display Brand India's latest range of pharmaceuticals products including bulk-drugs, formulations, biotech products, herbals, amongst others," the Indian High Commission said in a statement.
It is worth mentioning here that the exhibition is being organised for the third time in Niferia by Pharmexcil in association with the High Commission of India.
The exhibition would be jointly inaugurated by Prof Paul B Orhii, Director General of Nigeria's National Agency for Food and Drugs Administration and Control (NAFDAC) and Mr Mahesh Sachdev, High Commissioner of India to Nigeria.
There are already over 30 Indian pharma companies present in Nigeria and are engaged in manufacturing and importing of products in the market. In fact, it is believed that India supplies over a third of the drugs to the Nigerian market and has been a traditional source for pharma products to the market.
