Mankind Pharma to set up API facility in Rajasthan
The plant is expected to go on stream by the end of the year.
New Delhi, April 7, 2015: Mankind Pharma is planning to invest close to Rs100 crore in setting up active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) facility in Rajasthan, which is expected to go on stream by the end of the year.
The drug firm, which produces various over-the-counter products, said that the new facility will produce bulk APIs. "We are coming up with an API centre in Rajasthan which will be functional by end of this year and will give boost to the pharma industry by manufacturing affordable drugs in the country," R C Juneja, Chairman and Founder, Mankind Pharma said in a statement.
The company currently has around 14 manufacturing units across the country and employs around 12, 000 people.
