Natco Pharma secured USFDA's tentative nod for generic Tamiflu
The generic version of Roche’s Tamiflu, this drug is used to prevent and cure flu.
New Delhi, March 18, 2014: Natco Pharma has announced that the company has received tentative approval from the US health regulator to sell the generic version of Roche’s Tamiflu. It may be noted here that the drug is used to treat and prevent flu.
The company said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) that the tentative approval of Oseltamivir Phosphate (Tamiflu) capsules by the US Food and Drug Administration is for multiple strengths of 30mg, 45 mg and 75 mg.
It is noteworthy that this drug has approximate sales of US$ 495 million for the 12 month period ending September 2013, according to the IMS Health data.
