US regulator approves Indoco Remedies facilities in Goa
Indoco Remedies has received the approval for its two facilities in Goa.
Mumbai, July 23, 2014: The Indian pharma company Indoco Remedies has received an approval from the US drug regulator the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) for its two manufacturing facilities in Goa. It may be noted here that the US drug regulator has approved the sterile facility and solid dosage facility located at Verna in the adjoining coastal state.
The approval is expected to facilitate the generic approvals in the US and the subsequent product launches. It is also expected to help in increasing the high margin revenues from the US market. The USFDA officials visited these facilities in August last year and with this approval, the number of Indoco facilities with USFDA approvals has moved up to six.
These are three for finished dosages, two for APIs or active pharmaceutical ingredients and one for analytical, it added. The company derived 35 per cent of its revenues from exports in 2013-14.
