Venus Remedies secures market authorisation for Meropenem in Mexico
The Company plans to launch the anti-bacterial drug in first quarter of 2013-14.
Chandigarh, March 11, 2013: Indian pharma major Venus Remedies has received the market authorisation from the Mexican drug regulator for the anti-bacterial drug Meropenem. The company plans to launch the product in the first quarter of 2013-14.
It may be noted here that the company plans to launch the drugs in 500 mg and 1000 mg strengths in Mexico. The product is expected to strengthen the position of the company in Latin America where it is already exporting to countries like Columbia, Peru, Guatemala, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Bahamas and the Caribbean.
The company is hopeful of capturing a 10 per cent market share within the first three years of the launch of the product.
Currently, the Indian pharma company is selling the product in various markets and it plans to extend its reach for this product to most regulated markets like Netherlands, France, Italy and Germany in the future.
